This weekend, I’m packing my bags with purpose. Not just to attend another event, not just to sit in another conference chair, but to step fully into a space designed to stretch me, strengthen me, and sharpen the future of Tonia Talks Now.
I’m heading to the YMS B.O.L.D. Moves™ Conference with clear intent:
✨ to grow
✨ to connect
✨ to be poured into
✨ and to return renewed—spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and professionally.
This isn’t a getaway for the sake of getting away.
This is self-care with strategy.
A Conference Built for Clarity, Confidence, and Courage
The YMS B.O.L.D. Moves™ experience is known for being unforgettable—and for good reason. It’s a space intentionally curated to ignite clarity, confidence, and courageous leadership. All weekend long, the atmosphere will be filled with women and men committed to rising, healing, building, and walking boldly in their purpose.
I’m stepping into:
- High-impact sessions that challenge the way I think and lead
- Inspiring speakers who speak life, truth, and transformation
- A community of changemakers moving with mission
- Meaningful connection that feels like fuel, not pressure
Every moment is crafted to support bold growth, deep alignment, and action rooted in purpose—not hype.
And as someone who leads, speaks, and pours out daily, this kind of environment is not a luxury.
It’s medicine.
It’s maintenance.
It’s necessary.
Why This Trip Is Self-Care
People often picture self-care as quiet time, bubble baths, spa days, or unplugging completely. And yes—those matter. But self-care also looks like intentionally placing yourself in rooms that rekindle your fire and refill the parts of you that life drains.
A conference can easily become overwhelming if you’re not mindful. The pace, the energy, the constant stimulation—if you’re not careful, it can burn you out instead of build you up.
That’s why I’m approaching this weekend with intention.
Self-care happens when we:
Take strategic breaks instead of trying to be everywhere
Eat, hydrate, and rest on purpose
Set boundaries so we don’t absorb what isn’t ours
Stay present instead of rushing from session to session
Process what we’re learning instead of cramming our minds full
When you do that, the conference doesn’t drain you.
It restores you.
How Conferences Become a Form of Self-Care
1. Fueling Growth & Renewal
Inspirational talks, powerful stories, and transformative sessions offer new perspectives and strategies. This fuels both personal and professional development—a core part of mental and emotional self-care.
2. Connection & Community
Networking isn’t just professional—it’s personal.
Meeting people who “get it” creates a sense of belonging and combats isolation. Research highlighted by PositivePsychology.com shows that supportive communities improve mental health, resilience, and motivation.
3. Mindfulness & Presence
Stepping away from the daily grind, limiting digital overload, and truly being present in the moment enhances emotional clarity and mental restoration. Active Minds notes that mindful breaks help reduce stress and improve overall well-being.
Why This Matters for Tonia Talks Now
As a speaker, author, podcast host, and leader, I pour into people constantly. I show up for communities, families, youth, and individuals who are trying to rebuild, recover, reimagine, and reclaim their future.
To lead boldly, I must be refilled boldly.
This weekend isn’t just about me—it’s about bringing back sharper insight, renewed energy, stronger clarity, and deeper purpose so I can continue to serve through Tonia Talks Now with excellence and authenticity.
I’m going to grow so I can help others grow.
I’m going to be strengthened so I can continue strengthening others.
I’m going to be poured into so I can pour out with intention, not exhaustion.
Walking Into the Weekend With Purpose
So yes—this is a weekend away.
But more than that…
It’s a reset, a recharge, and a realignment.
I am walking into the YMS B.O.L.D. Moves™ Conference ready to receive everything I need for the next level of my purpose—and the next chapter of Tonia Talks Now.
I’m going with intention.
I’m going with expectation.
I’m going with boldness.
And I can’t wait to come back renewed, restored, and ready to take the next bold step.
Special Note
I’m especially honored to attend this conference alongside my mentor, Patti Schutte, who is serving as a keynote speaker. Patti’s strategic approach to business beautifully embodies what true growth and meaningful impact look like. She leads with clarity, wisdom, and intention—challenging leaders to think bigger, move smarter, and build with purpose.
