About Tonia Garnett
Tonia Garnett is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS), U.S. Army veteran, inspirational speaker, and author of the book Enough is Enough: I Won’t Be a Statistic.
With a master’s degree from the University of Mary Washington, Certification from the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and a background in Human Resources across both private and nonprofit sectors, she combines professional expertise with lived experience in recovery, reentry, trauma healing, and personal transformation.
Tonia intentionally partners with organizations that are creating measurable impact in the areas she is most passionate about — mental health, substance use recovery, trauma-first care, and reentry support. Her work focuses on building relationships, connecting individuals to the right resources, strengthening community partnerships, and helping people move from crisis to stability and purpose.
Tonia Talks Now is more than a platform name — it represents Tonia finally finding the courage to speak openly about her struggles, healing, and transformation. Today, she uses her voice to help others transform their own lives through her innovative LifeBoard Method, a framework designed to help individuals create structure, purpose, accountability, and forward movement in every area of life.
Through speaking, advocacy, and community engagement, Tonia empowers others to recognize that their past does not determine their future and that lasting transformation is possible.

"When you do nothing you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are working to make things better."
